I think Warnock will play a similar style to his QPR team that won the league. Unfortunately we don't have the specialist players that he had at his disposal in a taraabt or a faurlin/Derry or a routeledge but should still be reasonably successful.
His team that year were notable for having a clear split in duties. The back 4 and the 2 holding midfielders were just there to concentrate on defending and the striker, wingers and AM were given licence to attack but had little defensive duties (taraabt especially). And a target man up top.
As such I think he'll pick defenders who concentrate on defending. I think that may be bad news for Declan JOHN.
I think he'll go with peltier at RB , Morrison and Manga in the middle and Connelly/richards at LB?
Holding midfielders we don't really have any real specialists, but gunnarsson and O'Keefe are probably the 2 I'd put in there.
Attacking midfield is probably immers or maybe even whittingham
Wings noone, pilkington possibly Harris or of course hoilet if he joins
And a lump up top in the shape of Lambert.
I think we have the players to make that system work without to much adaption. With the roaming AM being a bit iffy, likewise the 2 DM.
How do you think we will line up?
Re reading that it is a bit of a garbled mess, so here's a clearer explanation.
4-2-3-1
Peltier Morrison Manga Connelly
Gunnarsson O'KEEFE
Noone Immers Pilkington
Lambert
