Nigel Pearson has left Derby County Football Club by mutual consent

Derby County Football Club can today confirm that they have mutually agreed to part company with Nigel Pearson with immediate effect.

As a result of the mutual termination of Nigel Pearson’s employment agreement with Derby County any disciplinary process has now ceased.

The Board of Derby County will now turn their attention to appointing a new manager as soon as possible and expect to announce a successor in a timely fashion.

Apparently their chairman was flying drones over their training pitch to keep an eye on what the manager was doing.

A few people in the pub in the last couple of days have been saying that he is an absolute bully.
Apparently he can be a nasty piece of work. Has anyone else heard this?

Possibly. Soccer AM were discussing the planned Jamie Vardy/Leicester film and apparently Vinnie Jones is pencilled in to play NP.
I remember he pinned that opposition footballer down on the touchline a couple of seasons back and you could see he was "ready to go" but managed to compose himself.

I think it's a fine line between whether someone is perceived as having passion or is just plain nasty.
Look at Gordon Strachan for instance, or even our own Neil. There have been times when they look plain evil but you would surmise it's a wet echo job with the pair of them.
It also depends on whether you have the tools or not and one could also surmise that Nige has them.

One thing for sure, it is strange how he seems to have "lost his way" over the last couple of years.

I think their billionaire chairman is every bit as erratic as ours
