Surprised how short Durban's time as manager was because it seemed like decades at the time

In discussions with my friends the Durban years were particularly ones after Eddie May we seem t go into freefall with Kenny Hibbitt turning into a boomerang and folk moan about this current era Lol

Very interesting, though given your usual standard of spelling I expected this thread to be "City managers and their ERRORS"

Just trying to ironic , with some tongue in cheek views , to see if there was any motivation for a discussion , era could be termed as " a system of chronology dating from a particular event. .

No space needed between ironic and comma and views and comma and discussion and comma and " and a system; "with some tongue in cheek views" should be in brackets; tongue-in-cheek (note hyphens); full stop after discussion; era should therefore have a capital E; particular event should be followed by inverted commas and there are two concluding full stops. Use of 'ironic' and 'motivation' questionable and the source for the quotation should be given. Otherwise, the grammatical content of your posts is showing a significant improvement. Well done!

When you look at that list there is hardly one manager who left Cardiff to go on to bigger things. I see three categories in that list : three top managers on their way down (O'Farrell, Durban and Gould), managers who peaked with Cardiff (e.g. Scoular) and those whose managerial careers never really got going.

What stands out is the short term managerial spells , only Scoular, Jimmy Andrews ,Frank Burrows ,Eddie May,Lenny Lawrence and Dave Jones had long term managerial periods from the listed appointments .
