Will you bow at the alter of Tan for his sustained support of our club. ?
If we do it will be a miracle and despite Tan not because of. He has either been finally talked into some sense or accidentally stumbled upon the right appointment. Either way I'd like to see the back of him toot sweet. A season in the big league does not a big club make. A decent season in the second tier don't make him a hero either. He briefly took us forward then 3 steps back.
I won't be bowing at anyone's alter, especially not a billionaire owner with very little understanding of my club.
However, if he keeps a low profile, and keeps on supporting the club financially, and makes good appointments to key positions (Choo, Warnock.... and hopefully others), and comes over at least twice a year (for a fans Q&A like February, and an annual charity event as he did in past years), and doesn't interfere with the playing side (and doesn't give anyone the excuse to claim he is if he isn't), then I will be happy to recognise all those plus points and not constantly rake over the many mistakes of the past.
I still want to see a long-term plan and vision, and a bigger influence by the fans (although the Swansea model has tarnished in recent weeks), and I hope Tan, Dalman and Choo (with Warnock advice?) come back to the idea of a Cardiff Way in the summer - not copying the Wales team style but having a style of play that goes through all the age groups, a philosophy that includes growing our own players and giving them an opportunity, a Welsh capital city profile, a social and community presence in the city and beyond, and an ambition to get back to the Premier League.
Personally I'm not so sure that story is 100% as true as has been reported. How better to justify your despotic rule than to convince everyone there was no other way. Clearly a lot of our fans have understandably decided to walk away. Better to die on your feet than live on your knees to extend the leg based metaphor. Anyway, lets not rake up the past by revisiting these old arguments which Ive been guilty of in this thread as well in taking the bait of the OP
