Not sure whether youve been to St James's park but you should allow for a hell of a climb.
Also, the players were like ants so you may want to take your binoculars (thinking about it you might rather forget them!)

    Enjoy the trip

Don't forget your binoculars to see the pitch and oxygen to breath in the rarefied atmosphere at the top of the stand

For various reasons, this is the first away league I have missed this season. Credit to those going. The stairs up to the away end are a grind.

It is like paying to watch your house being burned down.

Or could we pull of the upset of our season?

Yeah, I was there last time.
Me and my lad sang from the bottom of the stairs to the top.
What happened on the pitch mainly wasn't worth eatching and some players showed their true colours that day and left soon after.

Thanks anyway- good advice for those that haven't been there. Still an iconic stadium. 2 parts Wembley and 2 parts Scunthorpe 👍

Exactly, mine just made me a lovely cup of coffee in the room. Four of us have our wives with us, they're going to sample the delights of Newcastle's hostelries while we're at the game. I'm dreading seeing them at 5 o'clock:

Kelly and Mel are coming to the game with us. Mel knows more about footy than most .

850 sold for this game, not bad if you ask me.

As others have pointed out, an oxygen mask required to reach away section and a telescope to see the pitch. Stood right next to home fans on our last ill fated visit, and had to put up with them singing some daft chant all through the game. Had to listen to it for 90 mins and still couldn't make out all of the words.
Got talking to some of them after the game in an ale house. 5 of them had teeth missing, were covered in tattoos and had nicknames like Stabber Boozer and Shagger, and they were the females!!

Sunderland fans at Bournemouth, City fans at Newcastle - there are some fans who just deserve a performance from their team.
