Thread: Who would be all for.........

Re: Who would be all for.........

Don't like it tbh, then again I remember a time when a win was only 2 points.
Taking today as an example, had we gone all out for an extra point, we could've drawn the game and lost 2. The risk is too great imho.
As someone else said, gd should be enough.
Maybe one idea could be an extra line between the halfway and goal lines and like in ice hockey a pass would not be allowed to cross two lines, you could still lump it forward out of defence, just not a long ball to a team-mate. It would eliminate the long ball game and encourage shorter passes

After all, it's goals we all love to see, and it would create more attacking football.
With this system, Leicester would still have been champions, Man City would still have finished 4th, but Spurs would have swapped places with Arsenal.
Ok, A team getting beat 5-2 would still get the same points as a team drawing 1-1, but it would all pan out in the end. Surely a team who gets beat 4-3 should get more than a team who gets beat 4-0?
Just an idea. Anyone else for it, or is it a flawed logic?
It all pans out in the end now, so why complicate it?

Sometimes I long for the long ball game instead of every f**king team thinking it's great to play short passes constantly.

As mentioned football isn't broken so there is no need to try and alter it.
