I'm not certain about this, but shouldn't your parents have potty trained you, shirley it's not up to your workmates to teach you how to wipe your arse.

In a simple sentence or two, what is training? The development of skills to improve how you do your job?
Asking as I might be kicking up a small fuss about something at work, and want a good clear phrase.
I'm not certain about this, but shouldn't your parents have potty trained you, shirley it's not up to your workmates to teach you how to wipe your arse.
Yes, I'm BORED
training gives you the opportunity to **** things up in a more effective way than when you started with your employer
An hour away from the real job where you can keep quiet and coast?
Once you've Been "trained" any feck ups by you is completely your fault whether or not your cock up was covered in the "training"
was a must in my old job, ongoing training in many categories, all vital to the job, glad to be retired
A chance to be shown once how to do something then given the opportunity to do it yourself for the first time and get bollocked if you don't get it perfect first time. (Armed forces)
Training.
The thing that everybody moans like hell about whenever they have to do it. And moan like feck about if ever they don't get to have any.
TBF, over training and constantly expecting staff to remember more and more detail is an absolute PITA.
Depends solely on the company you work for, if in construction, you sign a disclaimer, in other words, **** up and you are gone, as has been said above. That though, is down to shite management, let's face it they couldn't give a shit, as proved above by someone that is self employed but thinks that your workmates shouldn't have to "wipe your arse" I've worked in construction as a gas engineer for a long time. Now however I volunteer, alongside employed people, in a charity helping people, and I tell you what, we have support every step of the way, whether drawing a wage or not.
After 30 years in the same industry i have recently been trained in the use of a pump truck and also how to insert ear defenders into my ears.
Thank phuck for that aye.
The box is ticked, now go back to work x
Raaaaagggghhh! I too am cynical about training, for some reason.
A new sexual challenge
Training should be (as much as possible) interactive but so much of what I have experienced this is limited to doing multiple choice questions on a computer. I remember starting in Subway and asking to make one of the managers a meal but they declined.
If it's technical training required to do your work, then it's essential.
If it is
Quality Management
Safety at work
"Managing Diversity"
Time management
etc
It's probably a load of bollocks that stops you doing your job effectively - making you "jump through hoops" just to do what should only take a few minutes.
Companies don't train employees properly these days, all down to financial cutbacks or lack of organisation.
It's hardly surprising that customer service is getting worse. You're lucky to even get a 'Thank you' from a spotty faced sales assistant these days.
Too many plebs in public sector wasting our money, shirking as much as they can until they get their precious pensions.
if you need training then you arent cut out for the job you signed up for and ought to be sacked straight away.
