Thread: O/T Apple mac

    O/T Apple mac

Thinking of getting one of these but have always been a windows man.

Me the mrs and the kids all have iPhones.

Can you set up a sewerage account for each on the mac like you do on windows, or is it like the iPad iPhone - just one user account per device?

    Thanks

You definitely, definitely can set up separate logins/accounts in OS X on an Apple Mac.

And can each account be linked to a different iTunes library?

    Yes

Also make a Genius Bar appointment in store or schedule a call from Apple to help set up exactly the way you want.

without wanting to sound like a grinch

ask yourself what do you want the mac to do ? ? ? ?

are you just buying it due to the fact that its apple ? ? ?

No, my kids need a new laptop for school, they find the apple interface more intuitive than windows.

I switched to macbook pro 18 months ago, you wont regret it. Just because you do it doesnt make you an "apple fan boy" as many seem to think. Its easier, more intuitive, reliable and secure. Better battery than a windows laptop too. Takes a few months to suss out the subtleties of the different way to do things then its fine. If you've all got iphones its seamless sync as well. Only downside is the recent price hike but still worth it in long run given the shelf life of a mac.
My only concession is a mac edition of word/excel for work.
    Good luck.
