Another one bites the dust.

As millions of people die each year, and so many people have some vague element of 'celebrity' I wonder whether we going to have to note every one of them that we have only maybe heard of and stare at the ground while muttering '..damn 2016 ..'?
If so, we might suspect 'damn 2017' is going to be considerably 'worse'.
I don't mean to sound disrespectful, nor is it a direct retort to BlueWales' post in particular.
Rabbi Lionel did a lot of good work and was inspirational to many.
RIP.
No offence taken.
Remarking upon and almost enjoying death is a particularly Welsh trait in my experience.
For years my Mam rang me up every Sunday evening for a chat which almost always had
her saying at some point : " You'll never guessed who died this week ?"
Eventually my wife and I used to guess who the " Stiff of the week " would be when the phone rang.
Glad to see this MB maintains this tradition , morbid as it may be.
He was a thoroughly entertaining and humorous broadcaster.
Yet, apparently, a tortured soul who struggled with his faith, family and sexuality.
RIP
Same here. I can't stand the other contributors to that slot, especially those who pick up on some topical issue only to predictably weave their cheesy dogma into the mix. Lionel Blue transcended religion and his contributions were always worth listening to. He will be missed. (I don't do the RIP thing as I don't think people exist after their last breath has left them).
