When Shawcross broke Aaron Ramay's leg,he had a 3 match ban yet Shelvey gets a 5 match ban for racist abuse. Please don't think I support Shelveys actions,because racist abuse is abhorrent but Ramsay was out for 9 months and it could have ended his career. It seems in football,words are more hurtful than broken bones.

Well, Shelvey is an odious nasty racist prick - always has been. Remember him when we played Charlton away some years back.. he was a gobby little shite then and has evolved into the Neanderthal he is today.

A 5 match ban seems too little... however I agree that the bans some players get for nearly ending another players career seem so pathetic. A two or three match ban for a career threatening two-footed dangerous tackle? Crazy.
