    Re: curved tellys

I was in a house yesterday and politely asked what the curved experience was about as I could not see any visual benefit , in fact I thought it a poor image from the side as the colour tones were different from the edges into the middle of the screen , when watching horse racing you have to move head right to left , the answer was " I dont know , it looks different though "

Flat TV ,Flat beer ,Flat breads . Yippe

Haven't got one, but from what I've seen, they're better...
but only if you're the only one watching from directly in front of the screen.
Anyone sitting to the sides, even slightly, would get a distorted image.

Just because the tech makes it possible, it doesn't necessarily make it better.

I feel it's a "here today, gone tomorrow" fad.

We've got one and they are better if you sit directly in front of the screen as you say

If anything keeps your type indoors then that's a definite major advantage.

If by peasant you mean I don't rush out and buy the must-have latest gadget, you are correct. At least I can sit almost anywhere in my living room and still see the TV picture clearly! And it even has one of those new-fangled things so I can change channel and alter the volume from my armchair.
