Questions about disco lighting

First one about the Acme imove 5 compared to Chauvet mini spot. How do they compare with brightness with other lights & do the run master/slave off a ca-8 contoller or similar?

Then, about mirror balls: how do you hang the motor? And are moving heads a good way of lighting one up?

Finally, how do I use a Behringer Eurolight lc2412 with Chauvet COLORstrips?

I know it's all a bit nerdy (well, VERY nerdy actually) and I really ought to get a life and rejoin mainstream society but it would be great to have a good nights kip without worrying about these finer points. Don't worry about being too technicky with your comments as I've got some mates who will explain it all to me. Thanks in expectation....
