    Defending a lead ?

Managers and teams do not learn, week in week out teams take the foot off the gas when taking a lead, inviting opponents on, dropping back and inevitably conceding a goal, had to go out this afternoon, got back into the car just as the Cewnty went 2-0 up and listened to the remainder of the game.

Just imagine how clinical and cold the game would become if teams were 100% efficent at defending, some of the greatest games I've seen were derived from poor or panic defending in the dying minutes of games.

If there was a league for conceeding late goals, we'd win it most seasons
