2016 - the year that keeps on taking.

" Stiff of the Day " shows no sign of ending.

RIP Carrie Fisher and bad luck to Richard Adams and Liz Smith
for sharing your death day with her. RIP to you two too.

Nobody seems to have notice that Alphonse Mouzon has also died. Played drums on some great jazz albums

It was announced last night. Never even heard of Carrie Fisher so will not be mourning her sad demise unlike Nana.

This whole thing is a social media phenomena.
In four days people will be saying Oh Dear! 2017 is already looking worse.

When famous people died the papers carried an Obit. and a few people chatted about it in the pub.

Now some of my friends are breaking the news (to me) of the deaths of people i liked and admired.

I put GMs death on facebook as the news broke on Xmas day.

Famous and great people die all the time. I just hope I make it to tomorrow.

    Where's my Tanqueray.

If Geordie Bastards lose tomorrow we play top of the table Brighton on Friday. We lose to teams at the bottom and beat the leaders. We are Cardiff City.

Geordie's not playing tomorrow. Their next game is on Friday at 7:45, just like ours.

I agree with this and you are spot on about 2017 - "It's started already, RIP (insert 100 old actor that everyone thought died years ago". Too much grief porn on social media and various sites using deaths for clicks.

I do enjoy reading obituaries and especially watching the nice little pieces the BBC do about someones life, the Liz Smith one was on just now. With the cult of celebrity we have today there will be 2-3 dying a day in 20 years time.
