I love ABBA and the Carpenters. I could listen to Karen Carpenter sing all day, what a great voice she had. Boney M are also another guilty pleasure.

I predict you had Radio 6 on which is where you stole (yes stole!) your idea for the hugely successful "songs that include the name of another band" thread.

Blatant plagiarism which you of all people should hang your head in shame over.

The BBC have been notified of your crime.

Definitely not a 'guilty' pleasure IMO. Van is the man!

Like Gwapo says, Country music seems to become increasingly more enjoyable as one gets older.

It was Smooth Radio, I believe. My thread wasn't prompted as you suggest, old fruit.

I've never quite got my head around Trevor Horn being in (and jointly responsible) for the pop combo 'Buggles'.

    Re: your video methinks:

    Dolannes Melodie (1975)
Urheber: Paul de Senneville / Oliver Toussaint. Aus dem Film "Un linceul n'a pas de poches". Instrumentalstück. Enthält ein Zitat aus dem Song "Summer (The First Time)" von Bobby Goldsboro aus dem Jahre 1973

Recorded in 1975 and "contains an extract from Bobby Goldsboro's 'Summer (The First Time)' from 1973"

I would hardly call listening to Ms Bush a guilty pleasure- it's a pleasure full stop.

I do like a bit of Bjork and Gary Numan aswell myself.

Agree, Kate Bush is widely considered a genius and well regarded by her peers.

She wrote "The man with the child in his eyes" at the age of 13. Also, it took my 30 years to realise the lyrics to "Wow", are about a crap actor who likes it up the arse. Luckily the BBC didn't realise that either, or it probably would have been banned.
Fair play, she is a genius.
