Tom Lawrence was average when he was here. He would make runs with the ball that always ended with him on his own because he had no awareness of where his team mates were. Glad he's doing well as more players for Wales the better. I feel it was unfair to blame Slade for this one as he had ample opportunities here. Same as when on loan at Blackburn before us.

Could it not be argued though, that the deficiencies in Tom's game were obvious to us as fans and should have been to Slade. Presumably they were also visible to his current manger who has worked with Tom to improve his game
