IMO it still remains quite feasible that some (just some!) footage was 'tarted up' - for whatever reason(s), but it's easy to imagine why this could feasibly have occur, and its easy to find examples of apparently odd footage.

So, if any of this possible 'tarting up' wasn't done very well, it gives the impression of anomalies which gives rise to determined non-believers pointing at the whole thing and shouting 'hoax'!

Unfortunate if so, as the brave pioneers deserve better, as has been said.

I've already answered elsewhere that beta particles (protons and electrons) are easily stopped (with a few millimetres of aluminum). Still that's not enough for some people

I used google like you have. Look, I'm no science expert and I doubt you are either. Ive seen tv programs regarding the Van Allen radiation fields as well, where they've questioned if we can get through them without being killed.
At the end of the day I couldn't really give a flying fack, so get off your high horse.

True but it's pretty hard to escape earth's gravity. Once you do, pointing yourself towards the moon is not that difficult. Getting back alive is, of course.

I think you can argue that the 60 years of progress between the Wrights hopping around a field and Gagarin getting into space is more impressive than the 8 years between that and Armstrong.

Agree that getting out of atmosphere can be tricky, but seems that China and India expecting to walk on the moon in 15-20 years. So have to assume that the journey isn't that straight forward, and that's with todays technology.

That said I do believe they got to the moon but just can't figure how the hell they managed it back then.
