It must be late in the evening when you get home.

Normally early in the morning.
"I get up two hours afore I go to bed, fly 6 hours, arrive 2 hours before I took off, work a 17 hour day in 't' pit and walk home agin.
Then me missus says, "Eee lad, I've got the some lovely fresh from bread fron 't' 'ovis man.
I grab her by throat and say, "Brown bread woman, I need some meat!"
Me dad taught me. 'e had a way wi' words me dad!

2 days office in London, 3 days at home. I can't believe anybody finds that interesting but there you go.

A Box? A box?? We'd 'a' killed for a box. We lived 'ole in 't' ground. Me fatha would beat us wi' 'is belt every night afore we went to bed, just t' keep were warm like....

Warm! Warm? we had to huddle around a candle, and if it was really cold dad would light it for a few minutes. On Sundays I used to go to the neighbors to dip my bread in their gravy. We had broken glass in our box.
