    Best of luck to him - horrible collision and, as Alan Smith said on the commentary, it always seems worse when the person injured doesn't see it coming.

    Serious, but fighting for his life? doesn't look like it.

    He's up and talking now, he had some serious bleeding on his brain which could have been fatal. Sounds like the medics, ambulance crews etc did a superb job, probably saved his life.

    Regarding the excellent treatment he has apparently received, he is probably lucky this happened at Chelsea and not at Hull.

    small comfort I know!!
