May not be better than we have but perhaps he would offer something different. I may have the wrong guy here but is he not meant to be a very good crosser of the ball. Someone maybe to provide ammunition for Lambert?

He knows how to cross a ball - his 'assists' record is very good.

But we have Noone, Harris, Pilkington, Hoilett, Kennedy.... and probably John and others who can play that wide role. Is he so much better? Is he a potential signing to ensure we avoid relegation, or even to push for top 6 next year? Not a major improvement on what we have now in my opinion.

    Re: David Cotterill

I don't get why Warnock is after a winger. We have several all of whom are better that Cotterill. And in Noone we have a very decent player especially when he is played in his correct position on the left. Playing Noone on the right is so ridiculous as all he does is cut inside and is therefore far too predicable.

    Does he score goals?
    Not really.
Does he get to the byline?
    Not really.
Can he beat a full back?
    Not really.
Is he any better than what we already have?
    Not really.

I would be £10 that if we signed him in January his assists stats would be better than all of the names you've mentioned with them starting from August. My concern would be that apart from crossing the ball and working reasonably hard for the team he is limited at most other parts to the game.

Why are Brum selling him? He did well under Rowett and Brum have been awful since Zola came in. Surely you'd be trying to recapture what was going so well?
