I've got an adblocker, but I've noticed some sites have cotttoned on to this and some message pops up along the lines of "we. Price you've got an ad blocker but we need the advertising revenue" and refuse to load properly until you switch it off

I found adblocker was really slowing things up. I found a better blocker though - Ublock Origin - I am using Firefox but gather it runs on most browsers. Just google your browser and Ublock Origin - here is the add-in for Firefox - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/fir...ublock-origin/

You will find things speed up a lot. Make sure you freeze or uninstall adblocker though.

No probs Igovernor. If you are on an android device (I think apple works too) then download adguard - https://adguard.com/en/welcome.html - don't go through playstore/applestore - download it from the adguard website. It works a treat even if you don't subscribe. If you do like it and want to go pro then do the cheap licence trick - https://forum.raymond.cc/threads/adg...e-trick.40542/ - I messed about with it and got 5 licences for about £5. Exactly.

But unfortunately, things have gone too far!
Without an adblocker many sites are difficult or slow to to use, many are all but impossible to use without one (cough!).

If I go online and trawl about without an ad-blocker now, it feels like being an Iguana surrounded by Racer Snakes

People don't want to pay to view or use web services any more, but equally the whole revenue model is fecked.

Something has got to change IMO!

Quite correct, but in the main they infest the website you're looking at and it becomes unreadable. If they did it properly no one would worry about them I.e. Running them down the side of the page or just at top or bottom, but they don't.

Thanks for the tip, my Note 4 is about 90% faster on the mobile site now.
