Sad but I was looking forward to the return of one of golf's greats, particularly in The Masters.

Tiger Woods fits into the bracket of "can't stand the guy winning all the time, give someone else a chance ffs" sportsmen.
Strange how when they are overtaken by the younger model, ones attitude changes.
Federer winning the Aussie grand slam last week springs to mind. Great to see (though Nadal would have been just as popular as winner)

I'm sure we all have similar affinities to sportsmen, depending on our ages.
I remember wanting the fresh faced Jimmy Connors in the Wimbledon final in, was it 71?, and my late dad shouting for Ken Rosewall.

A kind of realisation that the feeling the days of invincibility one may have had in ones youth are finite.
