I had a similar problem with a car once, turned out there was a small gap between the windscreen and the frame. Whenever it rained, water would gradually gather in the footwell then mist up once the car warmed up.

It generally means you gave water getting in internally somewhere
Mine is misting up too the last few weeks. My heaters are broken so I guess that has something to do with it.
Apparently, Sludge often complained on here of his windows steaming up, but only whilst parked at Cefn Onn Park and The Wenallt.
What a scoundrel that man really is.

There are water channels under the bonnet down the inner wings and bulkhead,if these are blocked with leaves or dirt when its raining or icy it diverts water into the heater blower vents creating the steam when the blower is on,if it was heater matrix it would steam up without blower on even on warm days and you would need to top up the header tank regularly
and check your pollen filter
