    Waiting for the teleprinter to give city's result. They used to have the odd reporter at big first division matches but the lower leagues you had to wait for 5.45pm.

    What a typist that person was ,don't forget that wonderful thing called the football echo , god I loved that a treat.

    Used to wait at the local newsagent for that. Sometimes they would just chuck a bundle out of the transit side door without stopping.

    The only decent music on the wireless at the time.

    When there was no football to watch, obviously.
