Studio guest on Goals on Sunday tomorrow.
I see the Rotherham fans were clapping the "One Neil Warnock" chant. What a couple of seasons he's had in the twilight of his career.
Bound to lose against Rotherham now.
When he was not "OUR'S", we all disliked him and what his sides stood for.
Now he is "OUR'S", we are seeing what a quality football man he is.
I honestly believe, that "OUR NEIL" & Cardiff City (fans an all), are a match made in heaven.
Thank you "OUR NEIL", for bringing our club & fans together.
We need to build a statue for the guy.
My buddy reckons we're now 4 points behind where we were this time last season.
Quite a few years ago I agree, I did dislike him. Maybe that was down to the negative press he used to have. However My opinions started to change about 9 - 10 years ago and I started to appreciate exactly what he did to clubs and how much they improved under his management. I also read his book "The Gaffer", which is excellent and gives a little bit of an indication of Warnock the person, so I was more than happy when he came here and not surprised how well he has done.
It's a pity that Warnock wasn't appointed when Slade was. He would have done a superb job of getting rid of players, cutting costs and making the most out of the squad that we had.
That not what I said.
I had high hopes for Trollope, but those hopes subsequently turned out to be be misplaced. He was hopeless.
I had respect for the job that slade did in difficult circumstances, but ultimately the football he served up was boring, and under him, some players either didn't develop, or in some cases went backwards.
I don't think either of them were good managers for us.
Our Neil's been chatting about Rhys Healey's injury.
"There's worse things that happen in life" and "we'll look after him".
I found myself welling up!
Excellent interview, Warnock is a compelling character who I really enjoy listening to
[QUOTE=AlwaysAway2;4720316]He is the best guest EVER. Seen him before he is so funny.
Loved the story about the dog pissing on our bag of balls before the Derby game.
None of our lads would kick a ball after that![/QUOTE
He actually said they wouldn't head the ball
:)
Interesting comment about Nooney potentially joining Burton on transfer deadline day & him wanting to go there. I assume this did not happen as we couldn't get Hayes in from Aberdeen
