    Respects to the original Funky Drummer.

    As he said himself, it was more about recognition than royalties... though I bet he could have used some.
    Some of the supposed examples of direct lifts of his groove were stretching it a bit in that video mind .

    Yeah I would agree there. Particularly the last Kenny G clip which is a pretty basic beat with none of the snare groove that he used in the original.
