Thread: What news sites do you use?

What news sites do you use?

I've subscribed to the Times, the economist & Foreign Policy in the past. The Times doesn't interest me, wouldn't put a penny into it. The economist is the best but I can't get through it in a week. Foreign Policy released a list of 100 great thinkers in the modern world. Nicole Sturgeon was one of them - Goodbye.

Free to use ones I am using two currently:

    http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/home.html

    And Al Jazeera.

I am a bit bored of these now, anyone got any good ones?.

I spend most of my time as a deluded slave of the Main Stream Media (especially the criminally globalist BBC, Guardian, Independent etc), but I sometimes stray into other (more enlightened) territory. This is one site that I have kept open for months and check every day:

I confess to donating to the Guardian and using their app solely on my tablet for casual reading.
Not just for current affairs, but whereby it offers interesting journalists/journalism but very clearly from an established collective Guardian standpoint.
Notably of late, they seem to be run in the same general direction as the rest of the MSM (aside from the Mail ) so there is no longer any of that feeling that 'The Guardian digs where others avoid'. Sadly.

    Three of my haunts:

    http://www.globalresearch.ca/ World news articles.

http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/for...d-the-economy/ UK-centric discussion forum. Great for those who like the rough and tumble of debate about pretty much everything.

https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/blog/ Thoughts and opinions concerning politics and economics. It's worth spending 15 minutes looking into Martin Armstrong's background: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_A._Armstrong

Everybody has now come out from the shadows, you are either for globalism or against it. There is no more pretending to be the opposition

I donated to Wikipedia once. A tenner. I felt we didn't appreciate how much use they are. I use it multiple times every single day.

Feeling like I had contributed to one of the greatest sources of information the world has known, I turned my PC off.

Next day I happened to use it again, to be met with a huge banner saying PLEASE DONATEEEEEEE.

No email from them thanking me, nowt.

Control the information and you control the world. So who "owns" Wikipedia then?

    Times , Guardian, Independent, Newsnow.

However my biggest provider and stimulant is CCMB's unbiased and balanced politics forum, never rude, always accepting of one's views, fiercely friendly.

Here a couple of the sites I look at. They are not news sites. But if you want the truth you will not find it on a news site.

This site is very good for debunking fake Syrian stories:

    http://www.moonofalabama.org/

The "Blind Sheik" story has some great quotes from Pinter about truth. Pinter had connections with someone who used to post on our site.

Dr Anthony Daniels (Theodore Dalrymple) is essential reading in my opinion.

    http://www.skepticaldoctor.com/

I like reading occupational blogs - by policemen, ambulance drivers, social workers, etc - most most of them have been frightened off and shut down for telling the truth. These sources were far more informative than the mass media.

Same happened to me when I gave them money - I also felt a bit miffed when I saw that begging banner still there But I would have been waaay more miffed if they had somehow 'known' ;)

I'm not giving any 'media' org any money for a while. Feck 'em all, they need to prove themselves!
If I have any spare, Macmillan will have it.

You worry me. The other day you told us about your protest against conceptual art that ending with you being duffed up by some children and now you say you are sending money to strangers on the internet. The next time you get a mad idea in your confused noggin you should post on here first for some guidance.

Thinking back I definitely don't understand why I gave them money.

They should just monetise it or something. I'd happily pay a few quid for access to it.

http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/ this seems to be good. Although i'll inevitably discover something wrong about it.
