Apparently 3 substitutions is the maximum in this type of game.

Sutton had used 3 subs , it was unlikely he would have been called on at any point after he ate his pasty..

    Still, healthier than a pasty.

Can't believe you are debating this with someone brought up on deep-fried Mars bars

FA probe into the fact he was 8-1 to eat a pie with the bookies and a few of his mates had money on it.

People are saying the FA should lighten up.

Well no, the rules and the rules.

    Does a pasty count?

Apparently a bookie has already paid out.

I bet if his mates had put money on and he didn't eat it nothing would be said.

Looks like Wayne Shaw will be eating his pies from now on up in the Statesville Prison, along with Leeds United, Sally Decker and Bristol City.

Because then that wouldn't fall under the rules of spot fixing....

Its the bookie that should be sanctioned, for opening an unregulated market.

Press call man fat, Bookies open a market laughing at the man suggesting he would not be able to resist a pie during a match.

Said man eats a pie then he must leave a position where he helps out a local struggling football side. Where he coaches, sweeps the pitch, plays in goals for the reserves and sleeps on the sofa of the clubhouse 3 days a week.

Maybe someone should probe the hypocritical FA.

Why take bets on it then? I don't get it.

    ^^^this^^^

"A bookmaker had offered odds of 8-1 that Shaw would eat a pie on camera"

Feckin crazy world this betting lark has become where people are encouraged, no badgered, into gambling... on practically anything.
The hypocritical FA are more than happy to take their sponsor money.

    W@nkers the lot of 'em!

The FA have charged him and fined him 3.14159 week's wages.

Or an opportunistic knobhead hijacks a small club's run to the fifth round of the FA Cup for personal gain and has been found out

Come on thats a bit much.

After the leeds game there were photos of him all over the internet, ha ha ha he's fat. That was the general gist of it. Yeah he's fat he's helping the club out being their reserve keeper to a club that really cannot afford a reserve keeper, he sweeps the ground. Helps with the coaching.

With all this attention he hears there is a market on him eating a pie, this market should simply not exist, the bookie should not be taking bets on this its not a match event. If i heard this was happening then i would eat the pie, especially in the 83rd minute with all the subs used.

It had no effect on the match, or the result, the main betting market on the game remained solid.

Danny Baker said on twitter if a bookie opened a market on him saying a stupid word on the radio 5 times, he would do it, the bookie simply shouldn't be as stupid to open this market. The betting regulations authority shouldn't allow it.
