Worst match day pub by a mile

The Admiral Napier. It's just got so bad, no BT sport and continually serving football fans beer in plastic cups. Miserable staff. It used to be good but it's just lost that matchday feeling. Next Brains pub to close?

In the lounge on match days they serve beer in proper pint glasses.

They pick and choose the games but as a rule it's plastic after around 1.00pm. All set up for the eggers now with Brains being anti-football fans and loving the street urinators (egg lovers)

    NOPE

Defo always glasses in THE CANTON.

Napier has been plastic for years.

PS:-----Kings serve in glasses as well.

This police requirement is a load of bollox, landlords hide behind it

Interesting this as The Cornwall says plastic is a directive on match days until a couple of hours after the game.
Perhaps it is just certain pubs

100% plastic again today, changing to glass when the street urinators arrive for the egg later by all accounts

It's all down to who City are playing. Visited the Ivor Davies in Canton twice this week and on both occasions they served drinks in glasses.

I was in the napier from 12.30 till 14.30 in the front bar and had a fresh GLASS every time.
Saying that I had a plastic glass at 10 am Sunday morning when we played the same Fulham team a few weeks back!

I'm normally in the Napier before a game although the last 2 Saturdays I've not arrived early enough to go for a pint. Can't remember the last time I was given a plastic glass. Maybe it's because I'm so old.

I always get given a glass, I gather from many conversations with publicans up and down the country that they only feel compelled to give plastic glasses to people who are dressed like filthy tramps which I very much suspect the OP is.

Haven't been there for a while but your comment makes sense. I'm sorry to hear about your personal hygiene problems and by the way a bar of soap is quite cheap these days, try Superdrug or Boots. You may even get a discount if you show your free travel card or one of your many benefit books or prescriptions. Good luck

No plastic glasses in the stadium , are they breaking the law?
