Have they sold that number of tickets? If they have then that is all that matters with regard to their accounting figures. They ensure a club survives. Not blokes sneaking over the wall.

I imagine that the disparity in the attendance number quoted and the real attendance is down to people who have purchased tickets (in particular season tickets) but don't show. For my part, I can't attend Tuesday night games but, no doubt, I am counted in the so-called 'Attendance' figure. It's a bit of a liberty regarding the English language but nobody dies, I suppose
