I'd have loved Villareal to win, to make La Liga race more interesting...but it's annoying Bale had to be sacrificed to enable this Madrid win...

He walked off which always feels like a good sign. We'll have to wait and see.

These big club ref's are a disgrace. He stole the points off Villareal with that penalty decision.

Agreed. Let's hope the Bale knock is nothing serious.

Fantastic game, never a penalty though and how many people did the ref book for protesting

Premier League couldn't come up with a match of that quality in my opinion.

How dare you say that about the best league in the world!

Villareal were so comfortable on the ball. Dos Santos, Castillejo and Adrian Lopez were excellent. Such a shame that referees are allowed to decide games at that level.

I think time has definitely come for some kind of video refereeing.

He fell over himself whilst mis-kicking the ball then pretended he'd been fouled!

The only injury he could possibly have picked up was to his pride!

Interesting point, I wonder how far away from the technology for completely automated video referees we are. I bet it's more feasible than people realise.
