Anyone recommend any downloadable audiobooks, I'm not a reader but like a story mainly non fiction.
Cheers

I was going to suggest the 2 Partridge books, read by Coogan in character and probably some of the funniest stuff he's done.
I'd honestly put the first book above the second series of the show (give me a second series you shit)
Bill Bryson a short history of almost everything is great too, as are any of his books.
It's a shame thE aUthor didn't bring any of his "books" out as audio books. They'd have been hilarious.
And...then....I....ran...a-f-t-e-r..them
I have only ever accessed one audio book. It was Taylor Hamilton's 'The Secret Race: Inside the Hidden World of the Tour de France: Doping, Cover-ups, and Winning at All Costs'
Even if you are not interested in professional cycling it's a fascinating inside into being left behind whilst your peers are leaving you standing (and your career possibly coming to the end), temptation, guilt and the incredible amount of power and control exercised by the 'demi-god'/cheat in extremis Lance Armstrong.
Gone Girl and The Road are a couple of audio books I have enjoyed recently. If you like non-fiction there are a lot of very good history and crime podcasts.
Tony benn reading his own memoirs
This thread just reminded me of Bluebuddhist, he sent me a load of audio books on here years ago, anyone know what happened to him?
This was one of them, good book if you like this sort of thing.
The Demon-haunted World: Science As a Candle in the Dark by Carl Sagan

I just bought Bryan Cranston's so can't wait for that
I find the best way to listen to a podcast is to listen while you walk. Just use one earphone. You need to keep your wits about you nowadays. Even better would be bone conduction earphones so you have both ears free. I've never tried these earphones but judging from the reviews they seem to work. Go for a long walk say for about an hour and give the History of Rome another go. Jump the advert to 1:10 and listen for a few minutes to get a sample of his relaxed and droll style.
