Just the fact that the meeting could take place during a week when Russia ups the ante in the Ukraine is amazing and could remove any concerted reaction from members of the G20 to what is happening.
Just before Trump takes to the air, his previously uber-loyal lieutenant and legal confidant of a decade pleads guilty to misleading Congress on Trump's commercial dealings in Russia. A couple of hours later, whilst Trump is in the air, the meeting with Putin is cancelled. Apparently for reasons that were well known before the Cohen plea.
Still, Russia, collusion, delusion eh!
