Now there is a novel thought! It does work though, as I have proved countless times. Maybe it's an education thing? I was taught to question everything, and they made sure we had requisite research skills to complete the task. Reading the Guardian or BBC website is not questioning anything in my book, it's just another example of the binary thinking disease.

    Re: The Donald Trump thread

Max Keiser, of The Keiser Report show on RT fame, was once an ardent Trumpkin but during the latest episode broadcast on Saturday (embedded below) he said Trump's "completely out of his mind" at the 3' mark. Whether he is or is merely role-playing the part of an economic madman is moot because either way he's going to be the patsy for sinking the globe's financial system to ensure a horrible future for everyone bar for those who have access to remote boltholes and private armies to protect them.

The first half of this show, which is 15 minutes or so, discusses the ramifications of worldwide negative interest rates. It will mark the near end of the debt game before its implosion.

It could be though the Trump haters have a hard on for od Hillary and are very unforgiving , after she was beaten by this Trump chap, bitterness is not a nice thing ??

Almost erudite for you. Trump has risen by "farting" (as you so eloquently put it) 140/280 characters at a time. Some of his slavish followers on here openly testify that the Twitter limit as they surf justifying his latest puerile outpouring is all they can absorb. It is a little amusing that they ape the "Chosen One's" MO without a hint of recognition that they are a duped follower rather than a left field opinion leader.

The pathetic thing is this is the behaviour of the supposed Leader of the Free World. He diminishes a great country and encourages apes like Johnson, Salvini and Bolsonaro to act in the same way.

You mean that the bombshell you have been predicting for the last 4 years because you had the inside track was not the real bombshell but it might be on the next stop on the line? Each time Libya/Pizza/Awan/Uranium One/Foundation/Storm/Nunes/Q/ Hurricane/ you buy this shit and each time when the balloon bursts in your face it's the real thing is not real?

The Inspector General has made you look the impressionable fool you are. I guess it's possible that Trump's poodle will try to find some additional dirt but surely we must both agree that the indepedent IG you prayed would come up with a conclusion that supported two years of your stupidity has done his job?

This Trump post must be the most popular contrubtion ever on CCMB, and folk still say were Trump fans , bloody barmpots if you ask me ,or becoming very bitter about the wrong accusations levelled at Trump and the fact it nevers sticks .

I have lost count on the number or wars, prostitutes and impeachments he should have had , never mind the countless accusations of Russian collision conspiracies .

Where's the evidence ,where's the war ,where's old stormy pants and the naughty girls (well richer now I guess).

Why don't the anti Trump lefties, take a breath and have a go at the nasty Democrats , who are having a go at a decent man in Bernie Sanders and his socialist views.

You'd have though some of the posters would have would have wound their necks in after being done like a kipper by the mainstream media over the Trump Russia Dellusion, but no chance of that they just double down and carry on blurting out a constant stream of BS from the same sources. In some people's books this is the definition of insanity, and it is quite amusing to watch. There is no such thing as self-appraisal with these kids!

Ever so sorry, sir, for continuing to discuss Trump in The Donald Trump Thread. Perhaps if sir doesn't like it, sir could refrain from opening and reading the thread?

It's a race to be the nominee, of course those who support other candidates will criticise him. Exactly the same happens all the time. Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio are great examples of people who heavily criticised Trump but (embarrassingly) flipped when he got elected.

I used to be an avid reader bob. I had it delivered to the front door every day, and they even "persuaded" me to vote for Anthony Blair! It had never actually crossed my mind to question the the consensus of the established media, but Iraq and WOMD soon put an end to that falacy. After that, I decided to stop being lazy and I redeployed my research skills into other areas of life. I reevaluated my approach to all sources of information, and that's how I was able to see through the Russia collusion bullcrap right from the very beginning. Of course, the internet has also played a part in this new way of doing things, and we are now able to dig a lot deeper into almost any subject we choose, so there are no excuses anymore. And that is also the reason why the media can no longer get away with making stuff up, unless we explicitly give them a free pass to do so.

Therefore, when you say "Maybe it's an education thing? I was taught to question everything", you're aren't talking about your formal education then? What you say above, all sounds pretty impressive until you realise that it simply isn't true - how can it be when your self proclaimed deductive reasoning and redeployed research skills appear to fly out of the window when it comes to the subject of this thread? You and the other members of the mutual admiration society that is the I know everything about everything club have no acknowledgement of shades of grey whatsoever, whereas quite a few of us, who you and Mr Bird were dismissing as sheep a week or two ago, have shown an ability to recognise that there can be a truth which lies between the two extremes.

Before the internet, the only source of up to date information on current affairs was the media, so it wasn't commonly known that they manipulated events. I already had the research skills, but there was no access to raw data to discover these things independently. When I saw what was happening with the WOMD story, I took note of it, and I changed my strategy. So yes, it is an educational thing when you are able to modify your own behaviour when confronted with new knowledge. In the piece above I am mostly talking the post-internet age, where there really are no excuses if you get hoodwinked by the media. I have cleaned up my information game, whereas you clearly haven't. Don't worry about what other people are doing, just take a good took at yourself and see what you are doing wrong today. Life is a journey for everybody, and it's never too late to change your ways.

None of which addresses the point I make in my message which, to put it another way, for all of your self proclaimed qualities and research, I know for a fact how you will react to any story about Donald Trump that appears in this thread. Who knows, perhaps it was one of the twenty nine per cent (actually, I see it's back down to twenty eight per cent now) of occasions when, according to a respected fact checking site, Trump was telling what could be a called a half truth, mostly true or the truth when he said he didn't advocate nuking hurricanes, but there are dozens of examples of ludicrous statements and lies by the man called the most powerful in the world in this thread and yet your reaction to them is always the same.

Maybe if he did something illegal I might have some harsh words to say about him, but since he was the victim of an overthrow attempt it makes it a bit tougher to do that.

That's where your arguement falls down, as my observations have turned out to be mostly true. Now if my name was lardy, then you may have had a point about someone slavishly following a biased news source who got it all totally wrong.

So all that we have ascertained from this exchange is that I know how to correctly source information that passes the reality test. Next time my sources may have a left-wing slant, and what are you going to say then?

Just pointing out ones infatuation with Trump as other political narratives past one by , I keep ypu updated though as it probably helps one balance ones views and avoids blinkered views.

PS : I've not been knighted yet, hoping too .
