US election 2020: Has Trump delivered on his promises?

    Tax Cuts - delivered
    Paris Climate Deal - delivered
    Reshaping the Judiciary - delivered
    Bombing IS - delivered
    Moving Israel embassy - delivered
    Military spending - delivered
    Cutting regulations - delivered

Bringing troops home - partially delivered
    Trade deals - partially delivered
Ban on Muslims - partially delivered
Cuba thaw no more - partially delivered
China as currency manipulator - partially delivered

Repeal and replace Obamacare - no progress
A border wall paid for by Mexico - no progress
    National debt - no progress
Deporting all illegal immigrants - no progress
    Rebuilding infrastructure - no progress

    Ditching Nato - abandoned
    Torture - abandoned
    Prosecuting Hillary Clinton - abandoned
To be fair, American's knew what they were getting, he delivered on almost more than he didn't and the ones dropped (especially making torture legal and prosecuting political rival) are probably best ones to drop so it all could have been much worse. Likewise, Republican's knew what they were getting and sold out their party to a bully and a liar in order to achieve re-shaping the judiciary. The rest of the world also knew what they were getting and some, like Sadiq Khan, were never more popular than when making it known they were nothing like Trump.

Thank goodness he's no longer in charge, but to quote Jimmy Carter, ""I think the media have been harder on Trump than any other president certainly that I've known about," Carter stated. "I think they feel free to claim that Trump is mentally deranged and everything else without hesitation."

It's bigger than that 75 million Biden 71 million Trump it is astonishing to think a man considered that useless and evil would garner that many votes , yep its a worry , I wonder if Covid hadn't intervened what the result may have been ,or did his anti Covid rhetoric win him more votes ??

So, was he "useless and evil" when you were backing up whatever gluey said about him for around five years?

He went missing for a couple of weeks or so a few months back, so I would expect something similar is happening now, but it is a little concerning when such a prolific poster just stops like he has - I thought Organ Morgan would have been back ages ago as well.

I can't see a downside to this. Two odious media channels competing and trying to ruin each other.

    Re: The Donald Trump thread

Interesting piece on the probable Trump regime strategy for stealing the election - and concern that Biden/Harris are sitting back too much and letting it happen (similar passivity to the Democrats in 2000 when the Republicans stole Florida and the election):

    a worrying read

    Re: The Donald Trump thread

Georgia and Arizona projected for Biden in the last couple of days, while Trump has won Alaska and seems certain to win North Carolina which would mean that the electoral college votes would be exactly the same as when they were in Trump's favour four years ago - of course, he described his victory as a "landslide" back then

LOM was asking about a landslide

I think the Democrats are doing the right thing as they are in the driving seat this time. Rising to the bait would play into Trump's hand.

The demise of Trump has been the car crash most of us expected. I'm not sure it's going to get better any time soon.

I wonder how the Trump Cheerleaders are taking it? Strange that they've all deserted the thread!
