So who holds City's club record...

.... for consecutive league appearances with 146?

    - and it's not a goalkeeper.

Off the top of your head - no checking record books!

    No, not Damon.

I'll give it a bit more time to allow people to get home after work before clues

Good on you - 146 appearances between May 1968 and November '71. Amazing for an outfield player, and a combative one at that.

Really nice gut, too. Playing with some mates in the early 70's he'd come along every week to the old Glyn Derw High to coach us and then stay on for a pint afterwards. Great City stalwart.

Agreed. As guts go, his was right up there.

He played 146 consecutive League appearances in that time. He also played 46 Cup games in that period two, but missed one against Aberystwyth in the Welsh Cup in 68/9 when Richie Morgan deputised. From that Aberystwyth game he played 157 consecutive League and Cup games, so he only missed one game in 204 League and Cup games.

Dave Carver also had 117 consecutive League games around the same time and 37 Cup games too making 154 games on the trot.

Even Phil Dwyer couldn't match those runs of games, he was only ever present once in 83/4.
