    The link to the data in that article is broken. Assume City's agents fees paid as a proportion of overall transfer spend might be even higher?

    it is still a little shocking, but we can be reasonably confident that this is still a hangover from previous party.

    I would imagine the wily Warnock will soon help to reduce our profligacy.

    I still can't get my head around why clubs pay the agents and not the player who employs them.

    I'm surprised we are above Derby, Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday when you consider the sums they spend on players.

    Also, in a BBC article on the subject the agent states they work for the players not the clubs. Therefore Fifa should just ban payments to agents by clubs, players should foot the bill. Admittedly this would push up wages and signing fees but it may make the system slightly more transparent.
