10 most supported clubs in Wales

According to WOL/Facebook stats;

- Liverpool almost twice as big as City
- City bigger than the jacks naturally
- In surprising revelation, City actually the biggest club in Cardiff
- Although many more people support English PL clubs than City in Cardiff

The top 10 most supported clubs in Wales:

Liverpool - 125,000
Manchester United - 95k
Cardiff City 70k
Swansea City - 60k
Chelsea - 57k
Arsenal - 50k
Tottenham Hotspur - 45k
Everton - 40k
Manchester City - 32.5k
West Ham - 20k

The most supported clubs in Cardiff:

Cardiff City - 25,000
Liverpool - 15k
Manchester United - 12.5k
Arsenal - 7k
Chelsea - 6.5k
Tottenham - 5.5k
Swansea - 3k

I would think that's probably a fair order for the number who take an interest in their clubs - but actually going to games it would be 1 Swansea 2 Cardiff 3 Wrexham

Also, as it's Facebook followers a lot of Swansea fans would follow Cardiff to see what's going on - and vice versa.

There will also be people who follow several clubs on Facebook.

Registered fans - i.e. People with fan numbers might be a better measure - although even then there will be duplication

Liverpool are definitely the best supported club by miles if you include armchair fans.
There's 3 who sit by me in work, and I've seen Liverpool play in the flesh more than they have just by watching us play them.
