Morrison doing the shush gesture to our fans.

    What was that all about?

I wondered at the time. Can't think why it would have been directed at us though. He's had no stick that I'm aware of.

Most players get a bit of stick through out the season but he seemed a little miffed after scoring.

I thought most of the criticism he's had is more about his defending, so he should really be 'shushing' everyone when he wins a header in his own box.

What planet have you been living on?

Didn't notice itself, was just returning to my seat when the cheer went up.

Personally, I thought those fans who decided to actually turn up today were great, and fully behind the team from the start, so it's surprising and disappointing, particularly from the skipper, to hear about this.

Footballers are completely out of touch. A season ticket cost me a week's wage. Morrison could buy 30 years worth of season tickets from a week's wage. If he can't handle criticism, then that is a weakness in his character, and not that of the fans who contribute to his wages.

Same with the PL managers who are rude to reporters who work for TV companies that, effectively, mean they can earn £30m over 3 years.

Was he looking towards Tony J?

Something to do with the boos that greeted the half time whistle?

That makes sense, I left my seat before the half time whistle to answer a call of nature so missed the boos. Some of our fans are right numpties tbf

There weren't many boos, but I definitely heard some - I sympathised with the booers to the extent that we were hardly busting a gut in the first half.

I'd forgotten about the boos. I'd assumed they were directed at the ref.

I do love an intellectual, well constructed point.

I missed it, the same as Morrison misses most defensive headers.

I thought this was poor coming from the Captain especially......must appreciate that's it was only a small section voicing their disapproval ?

What if he was gay and scored a goal but didn't make the sush gesture? Would that be acceptable? Would that be better or worse than being straight, arrogant and not on the scoresheeet?

It's Giddyblue that should explain his post, not me.

Yes. This newer forum only picks the last quote. Sorry.

I booed. Not a loud one, more of a 'grrrrrr..'. If Brentford [the away side] could show 90% effort, then City should have at least matched them.

I notice the club have used a photo of Morrisons goal ' celebration' on a Facebook charity shirt auction. Funnily enough most of the comments have been deleted. Bit awkward.

Tony J was finishing his pint when the goal went in. I was stood next to him
