    ^^
I hadn't realised he had broken his nose and apparently 'needs reconstructive surgery', otherwise I may not have made light of his situation regards potential retirement lump sum above, but .. yeah...

I cant wait for the 'not-fake-news ' Mail to get sued into oblivion.

In the thread about Ross Barkley/Sun journalism thread we branched out into how poor the journalism is in the mail etc. This seems to be a fantastic example of shoddy journalism and unnecessary reporting.

Yeah there's more than just United that he can go for. I'm not saying he's got ten million coming his way guaranteed, but if it all adds up to as much as 8 or so after everything's done then I wouldn't be surprised.

A fair amount of bollocks in that. Taking your baby's socks off is in no way similar to being asked to leave the plane. Bringing 9/11 into her argument is a bit Godwins Law.

Then she says she wants to deal with facts and gets her facts wrong in point number one (their small print allows them to deny boarding, I.e. at the gate, nothing in there about boarded passengers).

    I stopped reading the rest.

This all comes down to the fact, "If it was YOU sat on that plane and you were told you had to get off, would you".

Flying is his passion and he chooses it. He is my passion and I choose him.

Makes some good points, albeit in a pretty arrogant way (considering the most interesting way she can think to define herself is that she is the the wife of a pilot). Takes a turn for the predictable when she starts waffling on about 9/11.

This a professor of law's wife...Sorry, a professor of law talking about the right to remove a boarded passenger, or lack of it.

I would, then for the next few days I would think of all the clever things I should have said/done.

People who look to justify immoral but legal behaviour always point to the law. It is clearly immoral to sell someone a ticket and then deny them their seat simply because the company aren't willing to offer enough money to entice enough passengers to take the deal.
