He is as thick as two short planks, but in football I think that is an advantage. I've noticed that many of the most skillful players have been thick – e.g. Beckham and Gascoigne. When these dim footballers are on the pitch they can concentrate more on the game than others because there's not much else going on in their brains. This afternoon for example a clever player will be worrying about Trump blowing up the world or about whether porn causes impotence, but the thick ones will have no distracting thoughts.
