The fake 2 pound coins in circulation are so good they fool vending machines. Whenever I used to get pound coins I would put them in an ashtray. When that was full I'd check them over. On average, over several years 12% were fake.

Went to the bank to check this out.
Drew out £100 in coins, 7 of them were duds.
