    you can get insurance to cover your income in full if you called up.

    A relative did it and he would have been in the absolute crap if he didn't have people to cover for him.

    To my knowledge they really don't care what your profession is. If you have day to day responsibilities that have to be tended to then better hope your employers have the wedge to hire someone or you're fellow workers are flexible.

    I think employees will sometimes like it, employers despise it.
