Think it's about £38K + expenses, might be wrong though.

My bad, it's £13K not in the 3o's.

Didn't have my hearing aid in.

Councillors get a standard allowance of around £13k pa, unless they are cabinet members or chairs of committees when the pay can be much higher.

So my councillor has been paid £13k to ignore my tweets sent directly to him over the last year.
Ah well. I'll vote for someone else tomorrow then.

I used to work with a guy who was a councillor up the valleys, he was always on the phone doing council stuff in work.
Years later I read somewhere that he was head of the council and on various committees (NHS, policing etc) and was earning over 100k

our local independent councillor earns just under 40K a year from it, it is his full time job and i know he sits on alot of committee's ( even got involved in our Allotment committee as a rep from the council )
he is the type of guy who never stops, wants to make the Village the best he can and campaigns for the most trivial things

I was told that all throughout school.

    And "But".

People being marked down because of it.

Then you go into the real world and realise not even paid highly intelligent writers care about it.
