Absolutely shocking transfer. It's deals like this that make me wonder if anyone in football has any moral fibre whatsoever, I mean, who would want to play for Sheffield United?

Wonder if Jessica has handed back (her free), season ticket yet ?

Another good reason to hate Sheff Utd.

Mine started with that 5 - 1 drubbing they gave us in 1971
    and ended our promotion hopes.

It was a long way home to Cardiff 5 up in a Ford Anglia I can tell you.

For footballing reasons only this is a dire signing - if I was a Sheff Utd fan I'd be gutted if Ched Evans, who hasn't had any form since he's got back, was the answer at Championship level.

Think it depends on how much they're going to spend this summer. If they spend 6 million then 500k on Ched will look a lot different to if they spend 1 million total.

He has a hell of a lot to prove and familiar settings may help him do it.

Bit harsh sending him back to the clink to train?

One of my earliest Ninian Park memories was a 6-1 drubbing by Sheff Utd who had a silver haired guy run the midfield

My very first away game was at Bramall Lane when I was about 7/8 remember taking a train up there but got it in my head that the players were on this train too? Did that happen??? We lost that game 2-1 think Tony Evans scored for us and Tony Currie got their winner

Anyway don't know why I'm wittering!!

Yes, back in those days the team used to take the train for some games.
