    Behaviour of the media

Check out this Twitter thread from a guy who was caught up in a terrorist attack. The media are like vultures, I don't know how they sleep at night.

It's a disgrace, and it's every media outlet not just the ***** like The Sun and Daily Mail - though their headlines yesterday were horrific

    Nothings changed in decades.
about 40, 45 years ago a girl I went to school with was found dead at the bottom of a multi-storey car park in Newport.

Almost immediately, a journo went to her house, where her younger sister was, alone, and asked about the one who died.
"Why" said the sister, who are you?"
"Well, she's dead!" This was how the youngster found out about her big sister's demise. She was hysterical for ages.

When I was a lad I wanted to be a journalist, but after spending 2 weeks work experience with the local rag decided that it was'nt for me.

On my 2nd week I was sent over the courts with a notorious local journalist. He got threatened every day without fail and spat on at least twice. Very intimidating for a 15 year old I must admit.

While that is absolutely horrendous, I think it's even worse when it comes to a terrorist attack. Media seem to be caught up in some sort of "terror porn" as they gleefully chase the heartbreak or try to capture the most solemn tribute.

Apparently if you don't want them to act like ***** you don't want a free press... There has to be some place in the middle.
