Some of the much older club crests are interesting and even quite cool. But for me, in terms of design, Cardiff City has never had a great club badge/crest. I know folks get too nostalgic for the CCFC crest that we had from 1988 - 2003, but as a piece of design I reckon it looks really poo. It would be much better if we would just nail an awesome design or just go with a simple bluebird badge in the future. But not go back to that date ones from the 80's to the present day. I feel like folks just said they were happy with the badge we have as the re-brand moaning got fatiguing.
Is the badge we have actually good?

Simple bluebird in a white circle with Welsh flag on back (just under neck or at bottom of the shirt) please.
I've always liked the 58-59 one just needs a little bit of modernisation
Over design is a killer
This has always been my favourite.

The club hasn't even bothered registering the current badge (i.e. the one with the ragworm) as a trade mark.
And they didn't register the re-brand badge until I highlighted the fact on here.
For a multi-million pound business it's rather curious.
Simple, it's this one - no need for updated modern look footballs or sheriffs badge thanks Rita Pidsdale

Every version of the club badge/crest has been rubbish, but we have produced some excellent beer mats!
I still like the Karl Payne designs from 2012. They were done as compromise badges in the Fire & Passion red dragon era, but they had real design quality that was missing in almost every official badge I have ever seen. The exception is the simple bluebird in a white circle.
The Welsh football badge is on another level
