Never a booking. Sergio Ramos should be carded for play acting.

That game tonight is a reminder why I hate watching Spanish or Italian football.

Commentator said earlier that there were "66,000 in the stadium, 18,000 tickets went to each club".

That means 30,000 tickets went to corporate leeches.
It's about time clubs stood up for their fans.
10% of tickets to corporations should be plenty.

Give football back to the fans - bollocks to the suits.

That Mandzukic goal was absolutely world class, hoped Juventus would kick on a bit in the second half but not to be.

Modric was sensational for Madrid tonight, great to see Bale has now won 3 Champions League medals in 4 seasons!

If football was a corporation Real Madrid would be the board room. Players work their way up to play for them. Does anyone ever turn them down?

Why suddenly have Madrid in particular captured this aura? These football giants once went 32 years between European Cup wins. (Presumably, in the meantime, they thought to hell with this and helped to reformat the competition so it was easier to qualify and have raked it in ever since).

Manchester Utd had a long wait too. Selling Ronaldo was the worst days work Fergie did for them.

    Nobody turns RM down.
When you can pay the largest sums in transfer money and the highest sums in wages, you will always attract the best players.
Many reasons for going 32 years, not least because others were paying big wages and the best players were plying their trade in Serie A.
AC Milan dominated and were among the sides who the best players wanted to plat for.
    Winning trophies becomes habit.
The reformatting is simply down to money.

There are going to be lots of transfers in and out for Madrid this summer. Bale, Modric, Navas, James, Pepe, Vazquez will all probably go.

I figured it all comes down to cash but it seems weird when you can rake it in at a number of clubs. I just wish the commentators, while crowing about Madrid's achievements, would mentioned this occasionally (and also the reformatting which helped them in the long run).

Their barren 32 years was between '66 and '98 and there were a number of different teams triumphant during that period. And of course you had to win your league first. It was a time when Forest and Red Star Belgrade could win the trophy and Malmo and Panathinaikos could reach the final. And you could leave your front door unlocked etc etc.

Reports of over 600 injuries in Turin at the big screen showing the match when firecrackers mistaken for gunshots led to stampede.

Latest figures are over 1,500 injured in the stampede - 3 seriously including a 7 year old.

The film footage of the crowd surge is terrifying.
