I figured it all comes down to cash but it seems weird when you can rake it in at a number of clubs. I just wish the commentators, while crowing about Madrid's achievements, would mentioned this occasionally (and also the reformatting which helped them in the long run).

Their barren 32 years was between '66 and '98 and there were a number of different teams triumphant during that period. And of course you had to win your league first.
