Longest serving City player now after Whittingham?

I'm trying to work out who it might be. I'm guessing Joe Ralls; didn't Jones bring him in from somewhere like Aldershot?

There isn't one. That's how long Whitts was with us.

I thought Gunnarson was now our longest serving player?

Gunnar and Ralls both joined in 2011, after that the likes of Connolly and Noone came in 2012.

No Ralls was bought in by the Jones regime.

According to the interweb (not my memory) Joe Ralls signed professional terms on 30.9.11; Aron Gunnarsson signed on 8.7.11

Ralls joined the Academy in 2010 and was picked for the League Cup squad against Oxford on 10.8.11, and also for the squad to play Huddersfield soon after. Gunnar made his first team debut on 7.8.11; Joe Ralls made his on 30.9.11

Declan John is clearly the longest serving Cardiff player in the current squad - but I think he made his first team debut on 14.8.12 in the League Cup.

So Gunnar is the longest serving first team player; Dec has been at the club longest; Ralls has been at the club longer than Gunnar and made his first team debut before Dec.

    Sort that out!

Well, when Warnock sells Dec then we can have two longest serving players and it wouldn't complicate things too much.
